About me: (a work in progress)
My name is Melanie. I’m female, 21, and I live in Canada. Newfoundland, to be exact.
I’m currently taking a break from college, but I’m studying graphic design, and I plan to continue that when I return. Right now I’m just working, saving up, and working on me. I need a lot of work.
I get sad. Often. And usually too easily. I have a big heart and I try to keep it guarded, but I’m apparently not very good at it. I fall too easily. I’m trying harder to accept myself and be happier in general.
I think I’m funny and witty. Usually only to myself, but sometimes I manage to land a good one. I always feel ridiculously proud of myself when that happens.
I have sleeping problems. Tumblr does not help that.
I love books and writing. I’m a kid at heart, and I love Disney movies and crayons. Alice in Wonderland is my favourite Disney movie. Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney Princess movie. My favourite non-Disney movie is How to Train Your Dragon. I couldn’t tell you what my favourite non-animated movie is. Maybe Zombieland?
Music is very important to me. My tastes are eclectic. Mostly I love.. slightly odd sounding, deep sounding music with weird beats, loud guitars, complicated drumming, and strangled voices. I also love violins in rock music, and acoustic guitars in songs that aren’t acoustic. I like things that tug at my heart strings.
I reblog a lot. I do try to post my own writing though, and I’d LOVE to hear your opinions on it!
On April 29, 2010, someone very important to me was taken from me. My baby sister was in a fatal car accident. She was only 18. If you would like to read more about her, you can do so here.
